It's A Love-Hate Relationship

So, yesterday my fiancee T and I purchased the last 2 "Guitar Hero II" games in the city of Toledo. One was given to our good friend, Mrs. Turtle, and her husband, and the other was kept for ourselves. I was a bit skeptical of this game at first, not sure whether it was going to be worth the money we spent on it. But our friends insisted that it was a good time, so I decided to give it a whirl.

I will start with the "love" part of this relationship. This game is AWESOME - so much fun! I really didn't think I was going to be any good at it, considering I am in no way coordinated and have never been able to make my hands do two different things at the same time. I wasn't bad though. I was actually quite impressed with myself. I have yet to get booed off the stage, as our good pal Ry did last weekend.

But now for the "hate" part. I hate that T loves the game too. HE NEVER LETS ME PLAY! Yesterday he played for close to 2 hours before giving me a turn. Then he let me play 4 songs (about 20 minutes) and then took it away from me again! He continued to play until he beat the easy level...all in the first night of owning the game! Then today I made it a point to get all of my must-do chores out of the way so I could play again before bowling tonight. Apparently, the phrase "I want to play Guitar Hero" means "I want to watch you play" to T. He played again for about 2 more hours before even asking me if I wanted to play. By then I was so annoyed I didn't even want to anymore. I resorted to watching "The Wedding Planner" on TNT instead. The worst part...Keather left her guitar over here yesterday, so we could have played together, but apparently that was not an option either. Boo!

We were supposed to make an additional trip to Target today to purchase Dance Dance Revolution (which was what I really wanted) - that didn't happen either.

I guess if there is ever going to be hope for me playing this game, I will have to learn to use the Playstation while T is not home. Thanks friends, for introducing us to this phenomenon. I will let you know if I ever get to enjoy it!

It's so great! You should learn the playstation...not too hard to figure out.

I beat the medium level last night (yes, night two of ownership!)

If you were a good Girlfriend you would let T buy a PS3 and i bet he would give you the PS2, just a thought.

Sorry TL I am thinking that the upcoming WEDDING is a more important financial obligation than a PS 3. Looks like you will have to wait!

It's cool, Ry and I went to Best Buy (where we found special cheat softwear with codes that are unauthorized but awesome for GH1 and 2) and Ry insisted we buy a 2,000.00 plasma tv. He claims it is "almost free since it is no payment until 2008". We went to Best Buy to get GH2 but he pissed me off with the tv. I decided I wanted two new CD's and we left. He is still pissy with me and mumbles "I want a TV" every few minutes or so. I love men!
