I need some help. My fiancee (whom I love dearly) ruined my favorite pair of khaki pants the other night. The story is kind of funny...well I guess more like ironic since I am not laughing. It all started after school on Tuesday when I decided that it would be smart to sit in overhead transparency marker. I know...what the heck? Anyway, paranoid that my favorite khaki pants would be ruined, I rushed home, drenched them in Shout (which I love by the way), and proceeded to soak them in detergent for the next 5 hours. Much to my excitement, the stain came out! I asked T to throw my pants in the dryer with his current load. Well, guess what. Someone left a PEN in that load of laundry. When the drying was complete, I heard "Honey, I owe you a new pair of pants." What?! Oh yes, the pants that had been covered in marker only hours before were now (again) covered in ink. Boo! I am so sad! And so this leads to my plea for help.
Does anyone know how to get ink out of khaki pants? I've heard hairspray. Does that work even after the ink has been dried? Can a dry cleaner get it out? I REALLY want my pants back! Please help me!
Oh yeah, and I just spent the last 1/2 hour scrubbing the inside of my dryer (which was covered in ink as well), hoping that this occurrence would not repeat itself with the new load of laundry I am currently doing.
P.S. T, I am not mad. I love you! :)

First of all, great first post....hilarous, and SO typical T!!!! (great writing, in my opinion)
My trick for ink has always been hairspray. Reason - it stops the stain from bleeding...kind of makes it "stick" to where it already is. However, after it has already set with the heat of the dryer, I do believe you might be out of luck :(
You should check with a dry cleaners...???
P.S. LOVE the picture and LOVE that you are doing this!
Yippee!! Finally a post:-) In my humble laundry opinion, I think your pants may have seen better days. The heat may have sealed the coffin. But, check with the dry cleaners, you never know. Just think how boring your life would be without T??
Welcome to blogging!!!!
I've tried getting ink out of clothes before. Unsuccessfully. Have him buy you a new pair. :)
i would certainly check out the dry-cleaner before any other intervention is attempted.
i feel your pain, deeply. i had a roommate once who shrunk my alltime favorite pair of pants (the only ones i've EVER paid full price for). and that was a roommate and i did NOT love her before or AFTER the incident.
I was expecting to read that he spit dip on them while playing an 8-year-old in SOCOM.
Boys suck.
WELCOME! Ry leaves pens, change and gum in his pants at least once a month. I really think you may need to give your khakis a viking burial at sea. I am so happy that you have joined the blogging family. If I lived with T I would have at least three blogs a day. Hell, I don't live with him and he still makes it into my blog. Sorry about the pants.
